Our Favorite Movies

Movies originated in the 20th century, and have become one of the most popular mediums for storytelling and entertainment.  Some movies take viewers on a journey, telling powerful, moving stories that make viewers think.  Others are purely for entertainment.  This is the great debate within the arts, but we don’t have time for this discussion now.  Just know that these movies span “make me think” and “for pure entertainment.”

Our Favorite Movies

Without further ado, here’s the collection of our favorite movies.  This list is by no means static, and will continue to evolve over time.  If you like any of these movies or have suggestions for others, we’d love to hear about it.

  • Manhood (themes: adventure, strength to protect the weak)
  • Affairs (themes: current affairs, foreign thrillers, political, historical, biographical)
  • Arts&Culture (themes: sociology, creating, fine art)
  • Marketplace  (themes: business, leadership)
  • Faith (themes: redemption, forgiveness)

Editor’s note

Ambassador absolutely believes there are absolutes for right and wrong in direct contrast with relativism, but that much of life operates in the “grey” zone where wisdom, prudence, and conscience help guide decisions.  We recognize that each person has individual values and conscience, shaped by numerous factors such as family of original, spiritual and/or philosophical beliefs.  This is especially true when it comes to consuming content.

While Ambassador does follow content guidelines, we recommend reviewing the content of any of these movies, especially when watching with children:  https://www.pluggedin.com/

We have matters of great import to discuss, my friend!
